Known BMW weak spots
We know what to look for before it gets expensive.
Oil leaks
Valve cover, oil filter housing and sump gaskets harden with heat. Caught early, it is a gasket – left too long, oil gets onto belts and the exhaust.
How we fix itOverheating & coolant loss
Electric water pumps, thermostats and plastic expansion tanks are known BMW weak spots. We pressure-test and replace before the engine is damaged.
How we fix itTiming chain rattle
A rattle on start-up on N47 diesels and N20 petrols means the chain or guides are stretching. It needs attention before the chain jumps.
How we fix it"Drivetrain malfunction"
The yellow drivetrain warning and reduced power usually point to misfires, boost leaks, VANOS or fuel pressure. We read every module to find the real cause.
How we fix itHarsh or slipping auto gearbox
BMW calls the ZF gearbox oil "lifetime". We recommend a proper fluid and filter service – it keeps 6- and 8-speed autos shifting smoothly.
How we fix itBattery & electrical gremlins
Modern BMWs must have a new battery registered to the car, or it is over-charged and fails early. We test, fit, code and register properly.
